LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Atlanta Braves will host several marquee spring training opponents in 2010, including visits from the World Champion New York Yankees, World Series runner-up Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals during the Major League Baseball Spring Training season at Champion Stadium at the soon-to-be-re-imagined ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

After two weeks of workouts, the Braves play a 16-game home schedule that is highlighted by a March 30 visit by the New York Yankees, who are fresh off their 27th World Series championship.
In addition, Atlanta will host all four of its division rivals, including the National League pennant-winning Philadelphia Phillies on March 9 and 24, as well as the New York Mets (March 3 and 10), Florida Marlins (March 16) and Washington Nationals (March 5 and 27).
One of MLB’s most popular teams, the St. Louis Cardinals, visit March 21, while the Pittsburgh Pirates come to town March 4 and 12. The Houston Astros are slated to visit the complex twice during the spring, including the final game of the season March 31, as well as March 7.
The 2010 schedule features two night games, a March 9 contest with Philadelphia, as well as the Detroit Tigers game on March 19. The Tigers return for a second spring contest on March 26. The Toronto Blue Jays visit the sports complex on March 13.
Each game has fun for the entire family including in-game entertainment, Disney character appearances and on-field fan experiences that only happen at Disney. And in what has become a Disney tradition, kids will again have the opportunity to run the bases after every game.
The Braves drew 133,013 during 16 games at Champion Stadium in 2009, which ranked them second only to the Yankees among the 16 Major League Baseball teams who trained in Florida as part of the Grapefruit League.
Individual game tickets for the Braves’ home spring training season are on sale through Ticketmaster (800/745-3000 and ticketmaster.com) and at the sports complex box office. Prices range from $15-19 (general admission lawn seats) to $28-$39 (lower reserved), based on premium options, such as the opponent (Yankees, Mets, Phillies and Cardinals), weekend games and night games.
