ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - If you are even a casual fan of snorkeling or scuba diving go to Discovery Cove’s new Sea Venture at Discovery Cove.

A few months ago Discovery Cove did a soft-launch of Sea Venture,the newest spectacular underwater attraction. Sea Venture is an amazing underwater walking excursion that will take you exploring to the bottom of the Grand Reef for a closer and unforgettable connection with some of the most beautiful creatures of the sea. Sea Venture gives you a Scuba dive experience without all the training and certifications. This excursion is guaranteed to satisfy even the hardest to please.
The Grand Reef is an artificial saltwater reef filled with nearly 8 thousand tropical fish. They also have incredibly huge and friendly stingrays as well as sharks and eels that are safely behind clear glass walls, but it gives you the sensation of swimming with the sharks. The reef has colorful coral and a canyon inspired shape perfectly simulating a real canyon reef making it an excellent spot for snorkeling. The reef is surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches making the experience more majestic.

The 2.5 acres Grand Reef contains about 1.2 million gallons of saltwater up to 13 feet deep and 5 million pounds of sand.
