SeaWorld Orlando’s animal rescue team released a manatee at Blue Springs State Park in Orange City Thursday.

Caleb was a 460-pound manatee suffering from cold stress at Blue Springs State Park when he was brought to SeaWorld Orlando by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) on January 21, 2011. While being cared for, Caleb gained 230 lbs and weighed a total of 690 lbs upon his release.

SeaWorld’s animal rescue team is on call 24/7 to save and care for injured, orphaned or ill animals including manatees like Caleb.
