Actors Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick, Griphook), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), David Bradley (Argus Filch), Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown), George Harris (Kingsley Shacklebolt), Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley), Nick Moran (Scabior), Katie Leung (Cho Chang), Stanislave Ianevski (Viktor Krum), Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan), Alfie Enoch (Dean Thomas), and Jason Issacs (Lucius Malfoy) along with Deathly Hallows - Part 2 Executive Producer David Heyman, Producer David Barron, and Director David Yates all walked the red carpet speaking with dozens of media outlets and taking time to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.
Rupert Grint’s character Ron Weasley is normally a lovable character that everyone adores, but in the Deathly Hallows part 1, the character tapered into a dark side. Grint says he enjoyed the change. "Yeah, that was really fun actually cause you really saw that he's always been quit insecure. But in his world, he's always been overshadowed by his brothers and Also Harry. Yeah it was a real kind of jealous kind of paranoid. Yeah it was fun to kind of play that."
We asked Evanna Lynch what spell she would would do in real life if she could cast spells. "The Expectapatron spell because it's amazing, this positivity spell and I think sometimes like when you get down, you can just get really down and to have a spell that can have something physical and this amazing creature of light help you whenever you want it to help you, I think it's like a companion to pick you up or something."
Alfie Enoch says the Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter is just like being on the film set but one change is needed. "The only thing I would change is that I'd have to have all the people that made being on set so special here as well, because that was the really extraordinary thing."
And yes Enoch says he did try the butterbeer. “You know what it is so sweet! I was just like Oh goodness! I had a bit and I was like this is great! I had about three more sips and I was like I’m gonna have to be coming back for this. It was intense."
During the event, Universal City Walk’s AMC Cineplex 20 showed all eight Potter films, including the most recent release, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.
