SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Getting teenagers to come to campus when school isn't in session can be challenging. Generally it takes something very special to make it happen.

For members of the Seminole High School Pride of the Tribe marching band, it's an invitation to participate in the 25th New Year's Parade in London which brings these dedicated students to practice over a school break.

"The parade itself is just like mind-blowing," said Hailey McAuley. "We got invited to go to this and it's just amazing!"

"You don't really get to go to London every day!" adds Daniel Hung. "Like, it only happens really rarely."

Schools in England don't have marching bands, so they bring them in from the United States.

"This trip means a lot to a lot of different people," says band director Phillip Malcolm.

Eighty-one students who are participating have paid $3,000 to qualify. Several fundraisers have been held to help raise the money.

The parade is not televised in the United States, but you can watch a live stream this Saturday morning from 7 a.m.-10 a.m., Eastern, at www. bbc.co.uk/london .
