LAKE MARY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The producers of FOX's hit series "So You Think You Can Dance" have issued a challenge to America. Saturday is National Dance Day, and they want you to take part. Two of the choreographers from the show put a dance together, and posted it on the So You Think You Can Dance website , for a "flash mob dance".
That's where everyone can watch and learn the dance, and then dance it on Saturday, July 31st.
Dance Centers of Orlando in Fern Park is just one of many taking part in the event. Registration is tomorrow from 10am-2pm, but it's not necessary. The school is located at 7800 S. Highway 17-92, Suite 144 in Fern Park.
You can also check with your local Lifestyle Family Fitness for if and when they're taking part. National Dance Day is a way to encourage everyone to dance as a means to stay fit and healthy. It was founded by So You Think You Can Dance executive producer Nigel Lithgoe, who also founded the Dizzy Feet Foundation.
