The first batches of swine flu vaccine arrived in Central Florida on Friday. Flagler County was the first to receive a shipment of the Swine flu nasal mist. Their initial allotment is about 500 doses. Bunnell Firefighters were the first to receive the nasal mist this morning.
Seminole County's Health Department also received a shipment of swine flu nasal mist. Their initial allotment is around 2,300 doses. Nearly all of those are going to private providers in the county.
Flagler County Health Department administrator Patrick Johnson says the mist is not right for everyone.
"It's because it's a live, weakened virus flu-vaccine and it's intended for healthy people only," said Johnson.
