Melbourne Bch makes retirement list

MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Four Florida neighborhoods have been named the best places to retire in a new national study. Englewood's Town Center topped the list, while Palm Harbor's U.S. Route 19 landed the No. 15 spot, and Jensen Beach's Sewall's Point/Ocean Breeze Park came in at No. 20.

The study was conducted by AOL's personal and consumer finance Web site, WalletPop.com, in partnership with NeighborhoodScout.com. The groups said the scores and rankings were based on criteria important to people 50 and over who are planning their retirement, according to a news release.

Affordable homes, quietness, safety and diverse housing options were among the criteria.
