Some BP stations experiencing gas shortages?

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Nearly a dozen local gas stations are out of gas and out of luck.

FOX 35 has confirmed that eleven gas stations: 1 in Apopka, 3 in Orlando , 1 in Winter Park, 2 in Clermont/Lake, 1 in Davenport/Polk, 1 in Kissimmee/Osceola and 2 in Ocoee/Orange have no gas.

It appears British Petroleum (BP) stations owned by the Medallion Convenience Stores are the ones waiting for fuel.

Our calls to the Medallion group have gone unanswered. What we do know is that the Winter Park station is waiting for a late gas truck and it's running really late, workers say they've been waiting since Monday.

The Winter Park BP at the intersection of Webster and Orlando has been waiting for gas for days and customers say they've had enough.

"I've been here several times I figured they'd have it today," said customer Janet Jester.

No word on why the gas hasn't arrived yet for this week, but the pumps are bagged, shut off while they wait.

UPDATE: On Friday October 30th, Medallion Convenience Stores, Inc. contacted FOX 35 stating that they have been working with BP to resolve supply issues which started on Monday.

"Progress has been made in these discussions and sites started receiving fuel deliveries early this morning. All sites should have fuel by late this morning/early afternoon depending on the tanker scheduling at the Taft terminal," Heather Ward, Medallion Convenience Stores, Inc.
