Four women, accused of flashing bar patrons at "The Barn," in Sanford, were arrested after attending a "Girls Gone Wild" party on Thursday.
Of the over one-thousand attendees, Joyce Lourcey, of Middleburg, Kathryn Giannobile, of Sanford, Christine Goncalves and Migdalia Rodriguez, both of Deltona, were hauled-off in handcuffs for indecent exposure.
“Sanford had a strict nudity law and anyone that violated it with any type of flashing would be arrested,” said Cleo Cohen from the Sanford Police Department.
Nudity is strictly prohibited in Sanford. "The Barn" owner, Eric Tims, posted signs about the town ordinance, but despite that, the women decided to break the rules. "It was a chain reaction. When one did it, it was a chain reaction and it just continued,” Tims said.
Tims gave FOX 35 an exclusive look inside at the location where the Girls Gone Wild Party was held. Inside, bright yellow signs were stil displayed, warning people that nudity would result in an arrest. Police are not pressing charges against the owner, because they say Tims took every step to warn patrons about the law.
"We, as a bar, were looking for an event and "Girls Gone Wild" were looking for an event. We know that it's to inspire people to take things to the extreme. Everybody was notified that there were several police in the house,” said Tims.
"The Barn" is considering hosting another "Girls Gone Wild" event in April. "Girls Gone Wild" organizers were unavailable for comment.
