Woman lived with dead mom's body

Police say 61 year old Penelope Jordan lived with her dead mother in order to collect her social security checks.  According to investigators, Jordan collected more than $60,000 since 2003.  Jordon told police that she never reported her mother missing, because she didn't have enough money for a proper burial.

Jordan was arrested and charged with grand theft and fraud.  She posted $20,000 bond on Tuesday afternoon.

Neighbors say they've been complaining about the smell for years.  Animal control has been to the home several times a year for the past three years.

Police found Penelope Jordan's mother, Timmie Jordan, lying on a bed in a spare bedroom, surrounded by clutter.
