Woman lived with dead mom's body

SEBASTIAN, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Police say 61 year old Penelope Jordan lived with her dead mother in order to collect her social security checks.  According to investigators, Jordan collected more than $60,000 since 2003.  Jordon told police that she never reported her mother missing, because she didn't have enough money for a proper burial.

Jordan was arrested and charged with grand theft and fraud.  She posted $20,000 bond on Tuesday afternoon.

Neighbors say they've been complaining about the smell for years.  Animal control has been to the home several times a year for the past three years.

Police found Penelope Jordan's mother, Timmie Jordan, lying on a bed in a spare bedroom, surrounded by clutter.
