Orange County, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Around 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009, an unknown white man walked into the Walgreens store located at 6730 US Hwy 98 North in Lakeland and grabbed a bag of potato chips. Polk County Sheriff deputies say the man walked up to the counter, placed the chips down, and handed the clerk money for the chips.

Deputies say after he gave the clerk money for the chips, the suspect leaned over the counter, implied he had a gun and then demanded money from the open cash register. Cops say he also threatened her.

Polk deputies say, when the clerk did not immediately comply with his demands, the suspect leaned over and grabbed the cash from the register, and then took off.

He was last seen in a 2000 tan Chrysler Sebring, with a Florida tag 871 KZK. This same car was reported stolen out of Marion County earlier that day. The stolen vehicle was found by an Orange County deputy, parked at a Racetrac gas station
located at 5051 Edgewater Drive in Orlando late Saturday night.

The deputy ran the tag and it came back stolen out of Marion County. That's when the deputy arrested David W. Donaldson, the driver of the car. He was booked into the Orange County jail.

Cops say Donaldson is also believed to be responsible for a similar robbery at a Citgo gas station in Citrus County. They say he matches the man in the surveillance video.
