Osteen man accused of raping teen

OSTEEN, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - An Osteen man is in jail, accused of molesting and raping a 14-year-old girl, court records showed Thursday.  Mark William Benoit, 41, was charged with felony sexual battery and lewd and lascivious exhibition and remains held without bail in the Volusia County Branch Jail, court records show.

An investigation by sheriff's deputies revealed that Benoit took the 14-year-old girl to a shed on a property in Osteen at 9:30 p.m. Monday, masturbated in front of her and then tried to have sex with her, a sheriff's report shows.

According to the report, the victim told deputies Benoit has been having sex with her for two years and would get aggressive if she told him no. The victim told deputies Benoit had raped her in the past.

On Monday, Benoit took her to the shed and tried to have intercourse with her, the report states. Someone who came to the shed called 911 to report the incident, the report states.
