It appears the civil case against Casey Anthony could be around for a while. On Tuesday the judge scheduled a hearing for January 10, 2010.
Zenaida Gonzalez claims Casey ruined her life when she said a babysitter with the same name stole her daughter Caylee.
Anthony has pleaded not guilty on charges that she killed her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Marie , claiming a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzale kidnapped her toddler. Caylee was last seen in June of 2008, but she was not reported missing until a month later. Her remains were found in woods near the family's home in December.
In January the judge will decide if a private investigator will have to go through depositions with Gonzalez’s attorneys and if the private investigator Dominic Casey will be fined. They claim he lied under oath.
In Casey’s criminal case state prosecutors are firing back at her defense team. Last week the defense filed a motion to dismiss the murder charges claiming investigators ruined the crime scene evidence. The state attorney's office filed a motion claiming that the defense is exaggerating their argument. They are also bashing the defense for not providing sworn statements from their "celebrity experts" saying how it would be useful. No hearing has been scheduled yet on this motion.
