The Brevard County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Mims man in reference to using fake personas on MySpace.com to solicit teenage girls for images of child pornography. Daniel J. Coyle, 39, who lives at 3025 Fawn Lake Boulevard, was arrested on Thursday and charged with 2 counts of computer solicitation of a minor.
According to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, an iInvestigation revealed that Coyle developed a plan to introduce himself to a young girl by using multiple fake personas on the computer in order to make the victim believe he was a teenage girl. Coyle contacted the victim via MySpace under the screen names "Angie" and "Lina." Once the potential victims responded and became involved in an on-line conversation, they would be solicited for pornographic pictures and videos of themselves.
After a period of time, these personas would introduce Coyle to the victim as their mentor. Coyle then began conversing directly with the victim under the screen name "Dan-da-Man." One victim became uncomfortable with the conversations and told her mother who, in turn, contacted law enforcement,
The Sheriff's Office has identified two potential victims. Information revealed during the investigation, leads investigators to believe that there could be more.

MySpace.com is owned by News Corporation, the parent company of MyFoxOrlando.com. Coyle is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail on $70,000.00 bond.
The Sexual Offender Registration Tracking Unit of the Sheriffs Office is asking that anyone who may have been victimized by Coyle, contact Agent Mike Spadafora at (321)-633-8419 or CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477). All calls to CRIMELINE are confidential, and callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
