More than a dozen Brevard County Sheriffs deputies began blocking roads around Fairbridge Street at about 11:30 a.m. today.  They were searching for Lemar Aaron Clark, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest on charges of armed burglary and extortion.

The situation came to a head around 4 p.m. when the 19-year-old Clark was taken into custody by SWAT agents with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. Clark is described by authorities as a teen with a violent criminal history. He had been holed up inside his mother's home since late morning.

Investigators said Clark ripped off an 85-yr-old man. Clark denied those charges as he was carried off in handcuffs. "I'm not ripping off nothing," he said. "It's all lies."

Clark was hiding in the attic of the home when he was captured. Deputies had spotted Clark driving through the neighborhood earlier in the day and attempted to make a stop, but he fled. Moments later, they spotted the car outside his mother's home.
