CLERMONT, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Marley Wiley-Davis, 23, is being held in the Lake County Jail . Deputies charged her with child neglect, possession of illegal prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia. Investigators say, her mother called 911 concerned about the safety of her grandchildren.

Outside a Clermont mobile home, it's clean and neat, but behind closed doors, deputies say it was a complete mess. Chasity Grimes knows the people that live there. "I've been there personally and watched their kids too frequently."

Photos from investigators were released of the inside. You can see a knife among the disarray. Grimes says she saw several dangerous items in the house. "Screwdrivers, knives, drugs, everything."

Investigators tell us Marley Wiley-Davis has an infant and a four year old boy. According to reports, Wiley-Davis's mother, Colleen Birnie, called 911 after seeing one of the boys trying to light a cigarette and another burning cigarette on the floor. There was also an open pocket knife, unsecured cleaning fluids, a box cutter and Xanax on the floor, within reach of the child.

"They don't watch them, they don't give them the attention that they need."

Neighbor Mike Jacobs says her son would knock on doors in the middle of the night. "She's left both kids by themselves in here and people would be concerned. Her son would be running around at night, no clothes in the dark."

Investigators tell us prescription drugs and cocaine were also discovered. While the mother was bundled up in their cold trailer, her child was wearing only a shirt and dirty diaper -- one full of feces that had been worn for a while.

Neighbors like Jacobs are grateful that Wiley-Davis's mother reported her daughter. "I know her mom's a good person."
Grimes agrees. "I've had a child pass away and to see people out here doing this to children it's just a disgrace."

The children are staying with their grandparents. The grandfather says, they're doing okay.
