DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Two Palm Coast teenagers were arrested and charged with burglarizing a vehicle after they inadvertently called 911 during the break-in.
Dispatchers listened while the two suspects discussed the difference between items that were worth taking and items that should be left behind as they rummaged through a vehicle.
Unbeknownst to the suspects, Daytona Beach Police Department Units were on their way to arrest them.
With property still in their possession, officers located Kristian Amezquita, 13, and Stefanie Vargas, 19. Each was charged with one count of burglary of a conveyance.
