On Monday afternoon, all was quiet at the Shell gas station on John Young Parkway near Amelia Street in Orange County. But this is a completely different scene than it was just after 9 p.m. Sunday night.

"After the car show, there was people outside chillin', cars, music, loud noise," said one man, who would asked us not to reveal his identity. He tells us there were at least 100 people outside the gas station and a couple of dozen inside where he was when a fight suddenly broke out. "I heard someone inside the store say he wanted a gun."

Seconds later, 25-year-old Kenneth Dean Stone was on the ground outside the store, shot several times. "I heard the big corruption outside and everybody started running in the store."

Last night, the Orange County Sheriff's Office told FOX 35 that it's not unusual for large crowds to gather at that particular gas station. It was also acknowledged that there have problems at this location in the past.

According to records, deputies have had 100 calls to this location since October 18 -- a high number, according to a spokesperson for Sheriff's Office. They have ranged from disturbance calls to misdemeanor and felony drug.

A manager inside the convenience store told FOX 35 that he hires security every weekend to keep any eye on things, because the barbecue restaurant inside serves food late. He says he had three security officers working this past Friday Saturday and Sunday because he was expecting larger than normal crowds.

Stone was still in very serious condition as of Monday evening. Homicide detectives are still trying to figure out what the motive was behind the killing. The suspects are still on the run.
