Chase Bank robbed in Lake Mary

Seminole County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit is currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Chase Bank , located at 3801 W Lake Mary Blvd., in Lake Mary.

At approximately 1:40 p.m., deputies responded to an alarm call at the bank. According to witnesses, the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money. The suspect did not show or indicate that he had a weapon of any kind. The teller compiled and handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect took the cash and the note and fled on foot in an unknown direction of travel. Deputies established a perimeter and conducted an extensive search with negative results.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30’s, approximately 5’11” tall with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a blue or gray long sleeve shirt with writing on the front, blue jeans, a dark colored baseball cap, and had a green backpack.
