POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a series of armed personal robberies that they said seem to have been committed on the same day by the same person.

The first incident happened around 3 p.m. on June 11 while the victim was doing landscaping work on Double Diamond Drive in Polk City. He was approached by an unknown black male driving a brown older model 4-door car. The suspect spoke to the victim for a short time, then pointed a handgun at him and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene heading northbound on State Road 33. The victim was not able to see the suspect's license plate.

About an hour and a half later, a victim in Haines City reported another incident. Again, the victim was doing yard work when he was approached by an unknown black man driving the same color and style of vehicle as the first robbery. The suspect pointed a gun at the victim and demanded money. The license plate was not seen, because again, the suspect backed up the vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Mulberry Police Department began investigating a third incident just after 8 p.m., and Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the fourth, which occurred at the Taqueria Taco Stand on State Road 60 at 8:20 p.m. In the fourth incident, the victim described the vehicle as a brown or gold Cadillac. The suspect fled the scene going westbound on State Road 60.

The suspect in these incidents is described as a black male in his thirties. He is approximately 6 feet tall, 150-160 pounds, with short hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and something black covering his face. The suspect has also been described as having long dreadlocks. He was armed with a black revolver and was driving a brown, copper, or dark gold older model 4-door sedan, possibly a Cadillac.

If you have information about either of these incidents, contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at (863) 534-6379 or call 1-800-226-0344.
