(MYFOX NATIONAL) - President Barack Obama has stated his dislike of beets. And President George H.W. Bush famously did not like broccoli and said "I'm President of the United States and I'm not going to eat any more broccoli." But their distaste was nothing compared to one British women's outright fear of vegetables.

Vicki Larrieux, a 22-year-old student from Portsmouth, England, suffers from lachanophobia, a fear of vegetables, reported The Daily Telegraph .

The fear leaves her sweating and stricken with panic attacks at the sight of any vegetables. She survives on a diet of meat, potatoes, cereals and an occasional apple.

As a child, she would get upset if there were any vegetables on her plate, but now as an adult, she thinks that it may be more than a dislike.

"As [the fear ] continued into adult life, I started to think it might not just be a dislike for vegetables but an actual phobia," she said to the newspaper. "Every time I would see vegetables not just on my plate but anywhere, I would get feelings of panic, start sweating and my heart rate would shoot up."

She is hopeful that she can overcome the phobia and one day have a meal including a plate full of greens.

FOX News reported that treatments for the condition include "psychological reprogramming" to control the anxious response to seeing vegetables. FOX also posted a slideshow of the nine oddest phobias , including chrometophobia, the fear of money; oenophobia, a fear of wines; and sophophobia, a fear of learning. See all nine .
