Swimmer drowns in South Florida

JUPITER, Fla.(WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) - A man who went swimming in waters off a South Florida beach has drowned. The Palm Beach Post reports that the man, whose name wasn't immediately released, went swimming with another man on Friday.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office, it appears the pair of swimmers got caught in rip currents. Both swimmers were pulled from the water and transported to a Jupiter hospital. The second swimmer was in stable condition Friday night.

Authorities are investigating.
