LAKELAND, Fla. - Polk County Sheriff’s deputies are trying to find out who damaged several portable buildings at Combee Elementary School last weekend. Deputies said sometime between 9 a.m. on March 21 and 6:45 a.m. March 23, suspects damaged five portable buildings at the school.
The suspects removed window screens and then broke the windows to gain access inside. Once inside, officers said the suspects ransacked storage closets in an apparent effort to find items to steal.
Suspects stole from only one portable – food from a closet that contained snacks. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-8-00-266-TIPS.
