NEW YORK, NY (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) - Only on FOX: September 11th, 2010 will mark nine years since the terror attacks on New York city, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Ahead of the somber anniversary, FOX reporter, Rosanna Scotto was given an exclusive tour of the World Trade Center site.

"We are forty-one stories above the most famous construction site on the planet. By the looks of things the rebuilding of ground zero isn't moving very quickly - but we are about to take you to a place you've never seen before - deep under ground zero where construction is roaring forward," FOX reporter, Rosanna Scotto said.

Inside four streets is the former site of the world trade center that area is what we know as ground zero. The only thing being built there are two memorial fountains and the September 11 Memorial Park.

Just north of the Memorial Park, there is one World Trade Center, that's where the transportation hub will be. There will also be four other structures built around the park, including sites for potential towers 2, 3 and 4, and a performing arts center..

"All right were all ready, I've got the hard hat the vest construction boots we ready for our exclusive tour with the executive director of Port Authority Chris Ward," FOX reporter, Rosanna Scotto said.
The northern fountain, the pool, is where the void of the original One World Trade Center. "As we say, this is probably the most intense and complex public works project being built anywhere in the United States right now," Ward said.

Alot of people are frustrated that it didn't move quickly enough, so Ward says it was up to the Port Authority to solve that problem. "We needed to break it down and turn it into a construction project. And that's what we did. We said - what is the most important thing we have to build, we have to build a memorial. Alot of the debate and the delay went away," Ward said.

When your walking around the World Trade Center site your immediately struck by how massive it really is and just how big the memorial fountains are. They are built in the exact spots where the north and south towers once stood.

Chris Ward promises this site will be transformed into one of the most beautiful parks the city has ever seen. The space is enormous and will span 13 acres.

The memorial museum is scheduled for completion in three years. It should be open to the public by 2013.
