5 children injured in bus crash

Five children were checked out a hospital after a car rear-ended their school bus in Ocala.

A Marion County Public Schools spokesman says 54 children were riding the bus Monday morning when the slow-moving car hit the bus.

One child was examined at the scene and was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. Shortly after the rest of the students arrived at Fort King Middle School, four students eventually made their way to the clinic complaining of neck and back pain. They were also taken to a hospital.

The drivers of the bus and car were not immediately available, and it wasn't clear if anyone was cited for the collision.
