ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A bull orca whale killed a SeaWorld Orlando trainer, drowning her in front of a horrified audience.

Orange County Fire rescue crews are investigating the incident which occured Wednesday at SeaWorld Orlando's Shamu Stadium .

Homicide detectives with the Orange County Sheriff's Office and representatives with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration have joined in the investigation.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has identified the trainer as Dawn Brancheau, 40.
