6 year old girl found

WILDWOOD, Fla. (AP) - A 6-year-old girl last seen in Wildwood was found in Orange City late Wednesday.

According to police, Karmen Barfield was found with her father at the father's parent’s home. Officers had staked out the area and found Barfield’s truck, but not Barfield or the little girl.

Officers then responded to a nearby residence at 226 Edwards Ave. in Orange City. They entered the home to search for the girl and found the two hiding in the attic.

Chance Barfield taken into custody and is being held for Wildwood authorities. The girl was unharmed. Several others at the house who hindered the investigation also have been detained and are facing criminal charges.
