ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A fancy sports car slammed through the front of a local business. The Infiniti G35 coupe had been parked in the same spot all day. Suddenly, it jolted forward, hopped a curb and slammed throughout he front of an Southeast Orange County business.
"There were clients sitting here and an employee there yelled at them to get out of the way. They actually stood here as the car passed them by," said Gil Ramos.
As you can see in these pictures, this entire vehicle, bumper to bumper wound up inside the legal home modifications. Gil Ramos says the sports car was doing more damage by the second.
"The car kept trying to start itself. It would stall then start then stall then start so it kept jumping, that jack rabbit affect," explained Ramos.
The manual transmission car was stuck in first gear, and even with the parking brake on it kept bucking. "We couldn't' get it off," said Ramos. It appears the after market remote starter was sending it signals to keep turning on. "It was sitting on the desk. Nobody had touched it," said Ramos.
Finally, the employee who had the keys slid into the car and manually turned it off. "It was pretty wild," said Ramos. He also says it was a miracle that in an office full of people, no on was hurt.
The car was in the possession of one of Ramos' employees. He was looking to buy it from a private individual and had taken it to the Infiniti dealer to have the engine checked out. The potential buyer had arranged to bring it back to its owner later that day.
