Fatal shooting in Ocoee

Police dogs and deputies were out Wednesday night along Rose Lake Shore Lane, in Ocoee, searching for two men involved in a fatal shooting.

Orange County deputies say the men abandoned a blue Ford pickup truck in the residential area after being involved in a fatal shooting at the Home Depot on Hiawassee and West Colonial Drive just hours earlier.

The property where the truck was abandoned is adjacent to the Woodlawn Cemetary, about three miles from the shooting scene.

Shots were fired in the parking lot of the Home Depot shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Police say there was evidence of a drug transaction at the shooting scene.

A 23-year-old black male died shortly after being shot. Police are not releasing his identity.
