A bank robbery occurred Friday morning at the First Florida Credit Union, located at 3724 Edgewater Drive in Orlando.
Orange County Sheriff's Office deputies say witnesses told them a black male between 30 and 40 years old walked into the bank and handed the teller a note announcing the robbery. Authorities say he took off on foot.
Edgewater High School was on lockdown for a short period of time.
No weapon was displayed during the robbery attempt and there are no reported injuries.
At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a light colored baseball cap, a black bulky jacket, and blue jeans. He was seen leaving the bank on foot, direction of travel unknown.
