Volunteers serve 25,000 meals

Local city leaders are spending the holiday helping those in need. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer hopes to give out 25, 000 free meals as part of the annual Helpings From the Heart Thanksgiving Feast.

Golden Corral and The Salvation Army Orlando work together to put on the event each year. This is the 17th year for the event. Local chefs and volunteers all pitch in. 

The meals will be given away until 4:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army at 440 West Colonial Drive.
