OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A Poinciana man was arrested Sunday morning after deputies said he imprisoned, beat and sexually assaulted two of his female roommates for several hours.
Osceola County investigators were called about the incident just before 9:30 a.m. The victims told officers that their roommate, Michael Rivera, had been drinking and began to argue with them.
Rivera then allegedly began choking and hitting one of the women for several hours and also sexually battered both women. One of the women was able to get out of the house and call 911.
When officers arrived, they found Rivera hiding in the attic. Both women required medical attention but officers said they were not seriously injured during the incident.
Rivera has been charged with felony battery, battery, sexual battery, resisting arrest without violence and two counts of false imprisonment.
