Suspect in bat beating arrested

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Osceola County Sheriff's deputies, on Friday, arrested Fernando Soliz, wanted on a felony warrant for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

According to information provided by the Lakeland Police Department, on June 14, Soliz met a woman and stayed at her residence in Poinciana for several days. On June 17 they became involved in a physical altercation, where Soliz seriously injured the victim with a baseball bat. A warrant was issued for Soliz’s arrest by the Lakeland Police Department.

Osceola County Sheriff's deputies located Soliz's in the Kissimmee area. They located him near the intersection of Columbia Avenue and Central Avenue. He was arrested and will be booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond.
