OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Osceola County Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing woman who may be in danger.
On Friday morning, 26-year-old Nicole Fields was reported missing by her mother after she did not return home following a child custody hearing at the Osceola County Courthouse involving Fields and estranged boyfriend, Steven Louis.
Nicole's mother said she tried contacting her daughter by phone when Fields did not pick up her daughter who was in the care of a babysitter. During the investigation, deputies discovered Louis contacted friends and family members and made threats to harm himself.
On Friday afternoon, law enforcement located Louis, 28, in South Florida. Officers attempted to make a traffic stop Louis, who was driving Nicole's car, but he fled and eventually crashed. He is being treated at a hospital for minor injuries and will be taken into custody for questioning.
Fields was not with him and is still considered possibly endangered.
Fields is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet, 4 inches, 150 pounds, with waist-length blonde hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 dollars.
