Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents busted an identity theft ring Monday afternoon at a Midway area home near Sanford.
FOX 35 News camera was rolling as Leonard Malone was arrested in front of his home on Crawford Avenue. Cops say Malone and about a dozen friends stole thousands of dollars from central Florida people by breaking into mailboxes and dumpster diving.
FDLE and Seminole County Deputies took out computers, and electronic equipment from the home, as well as fake checks and drivers licenses.
Cops say Malone was making at least $10,000.00 a week by forging the checks using people's information and names and attaching his own pictures.
Malone is out on probation for a similar crime. Cops say he was convicted of Organized Bank Fraud and spent nearly 5 years in federal prison.
He's being held in the Seminole County Jail.
