Mom arrested for DUI while picking up kid from school

LAKE MARY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A 43-year-old Lake Mary mom was arrested in the pick up line at Lake Mary Elementary School Tuesday afternoon. Police were called when they say Renee Godby smashed into a car in front of her in the pick up line.

When police showed up, they suspected Godby might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, so they conducted a field sobriety test. Police said Godby failed that test "miserably."

One witness tells FOX 35 News that Godby fell forward while trying to walk a straight line and an officer had to catch her. Godby was booked into the Seminole County Jail and bonded out Wednesday morning.

FOX 35 News has learned Godby has three prior DUI arrests.
