Man behind bars charged with attempted murder

SEMINOLE COUNTY , Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A woman is hospitalized in critical condition after police say a man beat her.

Early Saturday morning Altamonte Springs Police officers responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of Albertsons on E. Altamonte Drive.

Investigators say Dina Michelle Fulk, 37, and a male companion went to the parking lot of Albertsons to buy drugs from 25-year-old Joshua Shawn Williams and Fulk and Williams got into an argument. Police say Williams hit Fulk in the face and head as she was sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Fulk’s companion exited the driver’s side of the vehicle and yelled Williams to stop. Williams then fled the parking lot in a pick up truck being driven by a female, who police have not identified.

Altamonte Springs Police located the pick up truck traveling westbound on E. Altamonte Drive and pulled it over. Both the female driver and Williams were taken into investigative custody and transported to the Altamonte Springs Police Department where after questioning Williams was placed under arrest and charged with Robbery, Burglary, Battery, and Attempted Homicide.

Fulk sustained severe head trauma during the incident, and is listed in critical condition after being transferred to Florida Hospital South.
