Funeral held for slain teenager

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Loved ones said their final goodbyes to Fabiana Malave today.

19-year-old Malave was found raped and murdered last week in Seminole County.

Malave's funeral was held Wednesday November 4th, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Orlando.

Orange County deputies say Malave was abducted from her job in Seminole County and brought to a home in Orange County where she was raped and strangled. Photo Gallery >>>

Authorities have a suspect, William Davis in custody.

Family and friends of Malave say this whole situation could have been avoided if police had arrested Davis when they had the chance.

Deputies confirm that Davis was on the run from authorities in Polk County. Orange County deputies did a fugitive roundup but could not match Davis fingertips to the database in Polk County. Authorities say Davis lied about his age and he wasn't on the deputy's radar for arrest.

Malave's body will be buried at the Chapel Hill Cemetery.
