A man who had been missing for two days has been found alive and well. The 82-year-old Bradenton man left his home at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and never made it to the relative's home in Geneva, where he had planned to visit for Thanksgiving.
Harold Wilkie Catto checked into a hotel in Waycross, Georgia on Thursday night, two days after he family had expected him. They said that he finally turned his cell phone on and checked-in with the family.
He said he kept getting lost and was driving a long time and finally got so frustrated, he decided "he was gonna drive to Canada where he grew up," said a family member. His family says he is dehydrated, but other than that, is in good health.
Catto was also considered endangered because he has some memory problems, according to his family.
