Sanibel Island

Casa Ybel Resort, Sanibel Island Florida
Natural Beach Guarantee - The beaches of Sanibel and Captiva Island remain unspoiled and abundant with shells. In cooperation with island accommodations, Casa Ybel Resort will provide a nightly room rate refund to any Casa Ybel Resort rental guest should the City of Sanibel or Lee County authorities officially close the resorts beach area during their stay due to the oil spill.

Sanibel Arms West, Sanibel Island Florida
No Risk Vacation - If the beaches of Sanibel Island, Florida experience any unlikely closures related to BPs incident, you may elect to reschedule your vacation to arrive within 12 months (of your original arrival date) with no penalty. This NO RISK DEPOSIT policy allows you flexibility up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date. Currently this policy applies to any reservation now through August 20th 2010.

If the official closure takes place within 2 weeks of arrival, you will be entitled to a full refund of your deposit if you wish. If the official closure takes place between 14 and 60 days of your scheduled arrival, you may apply your rental deposit fees to any other available date over the next 2 years without penalty.

No Oil Policy - In the event oil does wash onto the beaches, and local health officials close the beaches, Royal Shell assures renters of a proportionate refund for days remaining in their rental period.

Fort Myers Beach

Open Beaches - Should the beaches of Fort Myers Beach be officially closed, a full refund will be granted with written (email or traditional mail) cancellation request explaining the cancel is due to oil scare.

Everglades City, The Everglades

Open Waters Guarantee - In the unlikely event that the waters of the Everglades are effected or local fishing is officially restricted by authorities you will be entitled to a full refund of any unused vacation time.

Key West

Casa Marina Resort and Reach Resort

Both of these resorts are part of Hiltons Waldorf Astoria Collection - and are fabulous! They are offering guests a No-Oil guarantee. If tar balls or oil require the closure of beaches, these two resorts will refund their guests their room rate and taxes. Food and drinks not included.

St. Pete Beach and Clearwater

There are many hotels offering oil free guarantees - too many to mention! For instance, the Plaza Beach Hotel on St. Pete Beach is offering a No Oil Guarantee. Make your reservations now and if the oil washes up in front of the hotel during your stay, your stay is FREE*

*Free stay applies to the first three nights of your total stay with them. If reservation is for three nights or less, a discount of 50% off will be applied to your stay instead of free nights discount. Reservations must be made at least two weeks prior to arrival date for guarantee. No Oil Guarantee applies to people that are already in the hotel if the oil washes up on the beach.
