ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A homeowner attempted to extinguish a fire at a house off Choctaw Trail early Thursday morning before calling for help, Ormond Beach Fire officials said.
The fire started around 5:35 a.m. and the homeowner called to report the fire after 6 a.m. Fire officials said the flames caused around $20,000 worth of damage and appeared to be electrical in nature.
The homeowner did not sustain any injuries while attempting to put out the fire.
