SOUTH DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - A body found in South Daytona has just been identified as Goldie Mae Robinson. A spokesperson with the medical examiners office said Tuesday they were able to confirm that the body investigators found near Robinson's home last week is that of Goldie Mae Robinson through the use of fingerprints.
Fred Roberts, Goldie’s son reacts to the news. ’How can somebody throw another person out just like garbage, just discard them like that, and throw them away like garbage? How can a human being do that to another human being? I just can not understand that, at all.’
The body was found 25 feet from where investigators found the body of 67-year-old Arthur Sheldon a week prior and across the street from Robinson’s home.
Robinson was reported missing in August. Her car was found last weekend.
Robinson's son believes his mother may have been missing for months, but he could only find out about her well-being through a neighbor who is being held in the Orange County Jail on unrelated charges.
’I really want to know the rest of the story, actually, about her last couple of days. That’s kind of important to me too,’ Fred said.
As for justice being served, Fred says he believes the police will do just that. ’I leave it in the hands of the detectives. They’re much smarter than I am. This case is not closed by any means,’ he said
