Holly Hill bike bar destroyed in fire

Emergency crews with Volusia County Fire Rescue responded to a fire at The Boot Hill Saloon North, located at 310 Main Street in Holly Hill early Thursday evening. Around 6 p.m. crews responded to the establishment which is only open during Bike Week and Biketoberfest events.

VCFR was assisted by crews from Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach and Flagler County. U.S. Highway 1 was closed in both directions for about an hour because the nearest fire hydrant was across the street.

Upon arrival there were visible flames, according to emergency crews. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire which took about 20 minutes.

The estimated cost of the damage is not known as this time, but approximately fifty percent of the building was destroyed in the blaze. The State Fire Marshal is conducting an investigation into the cause.
