VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Volusia County Sheriffs Office is investigating the armed robbery of four tourists who were sightseeing in Cassadaga.

Investigators say the group was taking pictures near a historic sign when a silver car passed by them several times and at one point the car’s occupants asked the tourists where they could purchase cigarettes and then drove away. A few minutes later the car returned and pulled off the road, and then two men and a woman got out and approached the four visitors. The two men had guns and demanded the victims’ camera and other belongings. After the robbers collected the camera and wallets, they got back in their car and drove away.

The tourists described one suspect was a white male, in his early twenties, between 5’5’ and 5’ 10” tall, weighing about 165 pounds with short, buzzed hair and wore a white T-shirt, beige pants and a jacket around his waist. The second suspect was described as a white male in his early twenties, 6’ tall, skinnywearing a black beanie cap, a dark-colored hoodie sweatshirt and baggy pants. He also had a thin, dark mustache. The third suspect was a white female, between 5’ 3” and 5’ 5” tall with a husky build wearing a red, baseball-style T-shirt with black sleeves and writing on it. There was a fourth suspect, believed to be a female, who remained in the car during the robbery.
