"Fill the Bus" school supply drive

APOPKA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Former Orange County School Board Member Jim Martin is hosting the fourth annual "Fill the Bus" event, where volunteers collect donated school supplies like backpacks, notebook paper, pencils, rulers, crayons and cash.

This year donations will be accepted from Tuesday, July 21 through Saturday, August 1, 2009. There will also be several new school supply collection points throughout the Apopka, Oakland, Ocoee, Winter Garden, and South Orlando areas including the Apopka and West Orange Chambers of Commerce.

Collections are for the benefit of S.T.A.R.S. of West Orange (Supplies To Assist Our Students), the Orange County Community Action Board, and A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc. (Apopka Coalition To Improve Our Neighborhoods).
