Magic share Thanksgiving with Coalition for the Homeless

Orlando Magic Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw, President/CEO Bob Vander Weide, Chief Operating Officer Alex Martins, STUFF the Magic Mascot, and the Magic Dancers joined personalities from 102JAMZ to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.

Orlando Magic staff and volunteers served Thanksgiving breakfast to homeless men, women and children of Central Florida, providing the meals for over 600.

This annual tradition includes an open breakfast with coffee, courtesy of Barnie's. The Magic also host a special carnival for children, immediately following breakfast, at the Coalition's main campus. Adults were treated to haircuts by Paul Mitchell the School.

Panera Bread donated bags of non-perishable food items to the Coalition during the Magic's breakfast. Panera Bread collected these items at the Magic fan fest on November 18 and collected additional bags on November 25.

About the Coalition for the Homeless

Coalition for the Homeless is the largest provider of homeless services in Central Florida. This non-profit organization works to address the needs of the homeless in the community and serves as a catalyst for community collaboration to end homelessness by offering comprehensive case management programs to help the homeless become self-sufficient.

In the most recent fiscal year, the Coalition served nearly 300,000 meals and provided over 211,000 nights of shelter to homeless individuals.
