MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Marion County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a motorcycle driver for refusing to pull over after going 125 miles per hour on Interstate 75.

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers said they tried to stop Davall Pinkelton, 26, for driving 125 miles per hour in a 70 miles per hour zone Wednesday morning. When FHP tried to stop Pinkleton, he sped up and passed cars on the shoulder.

Troopers said he exited Interstate 75 at State Road 200 in Ocala and crashed at SW 20th Court. Pinkleton was thrown from the motorcycle.

He ran away and troopers found him with the help of an FHP helicopter. Pinkelton was transported to Munroe Regional Medical Center for serious injuries to his arm and hand.

Deputies charged Pinkelton with reckless driving, resisting without violence, and felony fleeing and eluding.
