MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Andre Hollins scored 21 points and Austin Hollins added 16 to lift Minnesota to a 71-61 victory over Florida State last night. Florida State shot 46.5 percent, but turned the ball over 17 times and missed 10 free throws in a foul-filled game.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The Philadelphia 76ers edged past the Orlando Magic 126-125 in double-overtime last night. Michael Carter-Williams had 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for his first career triple-double, and Thaddeus Young added 25 points and 12 rebounds.
MIAMI (AP) - Nova Southeastern toppled Florida International in a 77-59 upset last night. The victory was Nova Southeastern's first ever over a Division I team since it joined the NCAA Division II level in 2002. NSU went ahead 3-1 just 1:04 into the contest and would lead the entire game from there.
MIAMI (AP) - The Detroit Pistons beat the Miami Heat 107-97 last night to snap the NBA champions' 10-game winning streak. Kyle Singler scored 18 points to lead seven Detroit players in double figures, and Andre Drummond had 18 rebounds. LeBron James and Michael Beasley each scored 23 for Miami.
