Julia Reynolds

Julia Reynolds is a general assignment reporter for FOX 5 News.  An Emmy Award winning journalist, Julia primarily reports during FOX 5 News at 10 p.m. and FOX 5 News Edge at 11 p.m.

Before joining FOX 5 in August 2007, Julia worked at WLKY in Louisville, KY and in Augusta at WRDW. She got her start in Hagerstown, Maryland as a reporter, photographer. While at FOX 5, Julia was recognized with two Emmys; one for her coverage of the downtown Atlanta tornado and the second for a story on gang activity in city neighborhoods.

Julia first became interested in journalism when she joined the staff of her college newspaper and radio station. During a television news internship her senior year, Julia found her true calling.

One of the most memorable moments of her career was living out a suitcase for more than two months while covering a high profile murder case in Indiana. Some of Julia's favorite assignments include reporting from the Masters Golf Tournament and from Millionaire's Row at the Kentucky Derby.

Julia, a Maryland native, graduated cum laude from Towson University in Baltimore where she double-majored in mass communications and dance. She's thrilled to be back in the South and close to her family in North Georgia.

When she's not reporting the news, Julia enjoys getting involved with her church, spending time with family and friends, hiking, cycling, the arts and traveling. Julia's passport is full of stamps from all over the world including South Africa, Romania, Israel and Ecuador. One destination still on her wish list, Paris!

Julia and her husband live in Dunwoody.
